IMPORTANT:
If you have a PIN
code lock on your
sim card, you should
remove it before
proceeding.
You need to have
your iPhone
connected to the
internet when
proceeding with the
steps below. (WiFi
would be the best
option)
T-Mobile USA
users and any
users on NON-3G
networks should
disable 3G
before
proceeding.
Settings -->
General -->
Network -->
Enable 3G (OFF)
On your
iPhone, go to:
Settings -->
General --> About
--> Modem Firmware
(all the way down)
If your Modem
Firmware is
05.11.07

Click
"Cydia"
on your iPhone
Home screen
(usually on the
2nd page)

Click on
"Manage"
- the 2nd icon
from the bottom
right
-
Click on
"Sources"
-
Click on
"Edit"
and then
"Add"
-
Type the
following
http://cydia.pushfix.com/
and click
"Add Source"
-
Click
"Return to Cydia"
and then
"Done" on
the top right
-
Now choose the
source you just
added on Cydia
"Pushfix.info"
-
Choose
"blacksn0w RC2
Final"
-
Click
"Install"
on the top right
corner, click
"confirm"
-
After the
application is
installed,
Restart your
iPhone 3G
-
That's it.. your
iPhone 3G should
be now Unlocked.
If your Modem
Firmware is 04.26.08
-
Open
"Cydia"
from your iPhone
Home screen
(usually on 2nd
screen)

Go
to
"Search"
- the 1st icon
from the bottom
right
-
Type
"ultrasn0w"
in the search
bar
Note that the
"0" in
"Ultrasn0w" is
the number ZERO,
not the letter
O.

once the
ultrasn0w
application
appears, click
on it and then
click
"Install"
on the top right
corner, click
"confirm"

After the
application is
installed,
Restart your
iPhone
-
That's it.. your
iPhone 3G should
be now Unlocked.
When the unlock has completed you will see your home screen on
the iPhone with all of the icons. In iTunes you will be asked to choose between setting up your
iPhone as a new iPhone or to restore your iPhone from a backup.
We recommend that you set up your iPhone as a new iPhone. You
will be given the option to resync all of your contacts and applications back to
the iPhone on the following screen.
